Thirst

This incident appeared in 1992, I had boarded train from Chitrakut to come back to Delhi. The rush was less, opposite to me a Mahatma was sitting while a local businessman was sitting on the side seat. In India it was normally seen when trains stop on railway station, lot of vendors board the train. It was around 7 pm when a station came and likewise local vendors boarded the train. Some sell peanuts, hot ready snacks, some used to carry mud pots filled with water and sell. Likewise on such a occasion I saw a young kid boarding the train with the mud pot. Immediately the local businessman called the kid 'aye come here' The kid filled a mud glass (kulhar mug) with water and came to the business, before taking the glass, he asked "how much" The kid replied "25 paise" "Give for ten paisa" the business said Kid did not say anything but smiled and poured the water back and moved forward. Mahatma sitting across me got up and walked behind the Kid, after sometime he came back and sat on his seat. I was watching him and he too knew that we both had seen what was happening. The Mahatma said "I had gone after the kid and asked him why he was smiling and walked away without giving the water. The kid replied that the person had just asked the price of water, he was not thirsty, for someone who is thirsty would first drink water and then give the money. " We both smiled at the great truth provided at that moment. So true, for someone to attain Divine and to gain success in life, one does not get into ego hassles, argue to prove something, one just pursues the path to attain it, He has to have the thirst for it. Those who keep arguing and fighting to prove their ego as prominent fail miserably in all paths of Sadhana be it spiritual or material. ~ His Holiness Maitreya Rudrabhayananda

Peace and Clarity

“… if you don’t have peace, clarity and confusion persists, it isn’t because
someone took peace and clarity, from you; you gave it away. You truly
cannot always control what happens to you, but you can control what
happens in you. Bring the peace within and clarity will be there.” – His Holiness Maitreya Rudrabhayananda

Life

“Life is a lovely stadium that continuously keeps testing a person’s will
Either by having nothing happening at all, or having everything happen all at once.” – His Holiness Maitreya Rudrabhayananda

Better Person

“Everyone has been a fool,
Everyone has made mistakes
Everyone has been hurt,
but learning from those
experiences can make
Every single one you a better person.” – His Holiness Maitreya Rudrabhayananda

Nature of Love

His Holiness “Love from within does not require one to be even asked to do certain things for those things never exist. It happens for the flow is there, love is soft, living and full of the innocence. When one covers artificial sheets of love over a mask of deception then it breaks down sooner than later.”

Ashram

His Holiness “What is like going to an ashram, it is like walking into somebody’s kitchen, taking out things you need, using them, cooking and also serving the cooked items with all love and affection, it is using the place in a state as if it does not matter, you and ashram are not two but one. This is Ashram, a place where there is no ‘shram’ or efforts to prove, it’s a pure thing. One cannot fight in an ashram, hold up things, play tricks, shout or loudly workout. One has to be pure to be in an ashram, the purity you hold good for your body, mind and spirit is the same you have to hold good for the place, it has to be a reflection of you, a dirty mind will give a dirty a place, politics and ways and methods of spoiling it shall help only create biggest obstacle in your own spiritual growth.
This is the simplest thing one should know, is to the respect the place as your own spirit in essence, the spirit is Divine consciousness present there as Guru, and when you respect the place, respect everything, be in it then love happens making it clean and pure. This requires sharpness and in-depth insight that comes from following, knowing and understanding the way through a path of disciplined life.
Impression comes from expression, life is like that, when love merges with expression it crosses all the path and ways to show one the true essence of knowing and reflecting the self in its own purest form making the self itself an ashram you hold with a light. This Lighthouse brings all those desirous of knowing the truth to the physical place called ashram that is lit by the presence of the essence of Guru.”

Four things in life

Param Pujya Param Guru Swami Chidananda ji used to say “Four things in life matter, having the God, Parents and loved one’s in heart, Purpose in mind, Way to attain the purpose in the feet, Guru in heart, mind and spirit. For people with logical and rationale mindset or those who take everything casual in general for them God remains in mind, Parents and loved one’s struggle between mind and heart, Guru is in the feet and life remains purposeless. “

Being with a Master

His Holiness “Sitting with a Master is like walking a mile, you need not talk, you need not ask, but in that sitting one learns by watching, seeing, observing, delving and reflecting what is shown. You walk with burden and you sit with burden in front of Master, both shall lead to arguments, fights for truly unnecessary things. One has to be happy to walk, see, observe and unlearn”
