A Page from the Preface
He who wanders the streets of his own inner self is able to derive the most from the eternal light and is provided a chance to merge with the cosmic being.
Mysterious is the universe, and still more magical is the working of the universal Lord. Imagine the continuance working of two sides of one coin, one representing the tamasic people, whose only interest in the materialistic benefits and the other side representing the Rajasic people, whose interest have been spilt into two one related to the spiritual aspect and the other material aspect. They continuously work on the sides of the nature and the central aspect represents the Sattvic nature. This nature is the exact opposite of Tamasic nature; here individuals have full faith in the spiritual aspect of life.
Most of the time people never try hard to understand the purpose of their existence and the goal of life. It is only those who try hard understand that Self-Realisation is the most beautiful experience that a person can have in this world of illusion. This realisation is an omnipotent essence of the Universal Lord. Man of worldly nature spends precious time in finding happiness in the illusory world of material benefits and gains. He tries to pacify his desires by worldly things like wealth, fame, title etc., but in the end finds himself worn out with neither peace, harmony within himself. He even starts reaching the epoch centre of learning for finding peace but here again he finds cult worshippers, spiritualism packaged and sold in a colourful commercial manner.
For gaining peace of mind he wanders through the streets of darkness by consuming liquor, drugs and other intoxicating materials, and then in the later stages tries to run away from himself.
But none provides him the solace and peace, because it cannot be found outside it is from within that you get peace. Look within and then only you realise that the whole world is nothing more than a playground where everyone has lost track of the original path, those who finds it release himself from the agonies and sorrows of the worldly matters. This realisation dawns on those people who have opened their heart to unleash the spiritual ecstasy. The experience is so divine and enormous that it is not possible for anyone to put the feelings in human words.
Frequently I have been asked questions about the various techniques of knowing oneself better so that it is possible for a person other than a regular practitioner of spiritualism to understand the intricacies of the spiritual world through simple and affective techniques.
Meditation is one of the most easiest and powerful methods of knowing oneself fully. It is like a flowing river and it is easy to work upon it without the requirement of a guide.
Everybody does meditation in its subtlest form in day-to-day life but due to oversight and the fast lifestyle we are living we tend to ignore it. When we enter a new place we try to observe the colours, textures, wall hangings etc. similarly when we meet a new person we observe his body movements. The quantity of observation varies from person to person, but observation is a basis for all the activities in our life. Be it advertising for a product, selling of a concept, convincing a person all requires ample amount of observation and the right attitude for the acceptance of the idea. This type of meditation is working basically on the physical body and conscious brain; it does not work upon the spiritual body. In this book I will be talking of meditation that can help an individual to tap the inner energies and also to unleash the power to help you to work towards the attainment of the spiritual goals.
Meditation is learned easier through a Guru and this book will work like a guru in providing the requisite amount of knowledge and some very powerful meditational techniques to work towards the achievement of the spiritual goal.
It is meditation that provides the practitioner with the insight to the type meditation suitable for him to follow. There can be thousands of meditation techniques but the one that is suitable to a person can only be understood and accepted by a practitioner who derives benefit from it.
This book is meant basically for the beginners who have an interest to know themselves better and also to find a way to get inner peace. The purpose of writing this book was not to fill the beginner with lot of traditional concepts and methodology but to provide practical techniques that can be done without much guidance. By providing the techniques alone it would not suffice for a practitioner to enter the realm of spiritualism. For an individual to get a feeling of the field of spiritualism it is important that the practitioner should have atleast the bare facts for working towards the goals of reaching the ultimate energy.
In this book I have included only those techniques that can be easily done and does not require lot of practice and concentration. Some of the techniques mentioned in this book are so simple that it can be easily done in the office itself.
Even though the techniques look simple but they are as effective as any other advanced levels of Meditational Technique. The Techniques are unique and can be useful for beginner as well as for advanced sadhaka.
